SUPPORT FOR THE PERSON. SPACE FOR THE CAREGIVER.

Respite Care

A little breathing room.
Care that keeps the person at the center.

TAKING A BREAK IS PART OF CARING

Time to recharge.
Support to keep going.

Respite care is short-term support for a person when their primary caregiver is away or needs a break from caregiving.

A break can mean time for an appointment, a family commitment, or simply a moment to rest. Start a conversation with Alliance about the person’s needs, familiar routines, and the kind of arrangement you are exploring.

Discuss respite options ↗

A thoughtful handover starts with listening to the person and the people who know them.

EXPLORE THE SETTING

The right support, in the right place.

Talk with us about which setting may fit the person’s needs and which options are currently available.

01 / FAMILIAR SURROUNDINGS

In-home respite

Short-term care provided in the person’s home, with support organized around their assessed needs and everyday routines.

Share what helps the person feel comfortable, how they communicate, and any agreed care instructions.

02 / ANOTHER SUITABLE SETTING

Out-of-home respite

Short-term care in a setting outside the person’s home. The setting must be suitable for their needs and meet applicable program requirements.

Ask about current options, availability, and the planning needed before a stay can be arranged.
